Land of roots — the rustling leaves.

I walk this land where words are born.

They grow, they bloom, they bear their fruit.

Here lies my refuge: the gardens of poetry.

Raim Farkhadi

Life Line

Translated from Russian

The line of my life...
A slender path running,
Hiding in grass and stone,
Past the green willow’s humming.

It twists like the limbs
Of trees in my childhood yard.
Day after day it begins
To show on my palm — clear and hard.

A crossing of roads —
Rainstorms, hail’s sting,
The thunder of hooves,
And rockfalls rumbling…

Through countless days,
You’ve been joy, sorrow, and worry —
The line of my life,
Now a long, winding journey.
