A Memorial Evening Honouring Raim Farkhadi

A memorial evening dedicated to Raim Farkhadi — the renowned playwright, poet, and writer who left a vivid mark on Uzbekistan’s children’s literature — took place on October 4, 2024.

The event was organized by Anna Alexandrova, a talented composer, with the support of the Union of Composers and Bastakors of Uzbekistan. Under the direction of Evelina Aripova, actors Dilfuza Khasanova and Dildora Kurbanova from the National Puppet Theatre performed an excerpt from “The Little Bull with Sharp Horns” — a play written by Raim Khakimovich.

Participants shared personal memories of Raim Farkhadi’s life and creative legacy, reflecting on his major contributions to the literature and theatre of Uzbekistan. The evening served as an important step in preserving cultural memory and recognising the lasting impact of this extraordinary figure.
